Tasmanian Border Opening December 15th 2021 and Covid Safety

At Kingston Beach Dental we are doing everything we can to keep our staff, patients and the community safe once the borders open on December 15th 2021. We have an exceptional level of infection control, compliance and a comprehensive Covid safety plan in place. We ask for your co-operation and compliance at all times.

Here is what we are doing to be Covid-safe:

  1. We conduct a Covid Risk screening 48 hours before every appointment. You will receive our screening questions by email, SMS or phone call depending on the contact method you have advised us that you prefer. Please be truthful. If you or your household have been in any high-risk areas or have any cold or flu-like symptoms  please call us as soon as possible on 62296775.

  2. Wear a mask to your appointment. On arrival you will be asked the same questions again.   Please be polite to our Front of House team. Their care and vigilance are essential to keep our workplace Covid-free.

  3. Everyone including couriers, patients, staff and repair people entering our premises must check in with the Check-in Tas App and show a staff member that they have checked in.

  4. Staff and patient temperatures are taken routinely for every single person.

  5. Hand hygiene is always followed for everyone entering our premises. We have been doing hand hygiene since long before it was trendy!.

  6. Absolutely no walk-ins for changes of appointment or to make bookings.  The signs at our entrance are very clear. Please don’t be the person that decides the instructions don’t apply to you.

DO NOT ENTER UNLESS YOU HAVE AN APPOINTMENT. Call us on 6229 6775..

  7. Attend appointments alone (unless you are a carer or parent bringing someone to their appointment). We need to minimise the number of people attending the practice at the same time. Our patient lounge is spacious with socially distant seating set up for your comfort.

  8. Anybody with any gastro or cold or flu-like symptoms is not allowed to enter our building.

  9. We always have and always will wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow all safety precautions required by the Dental Board of Australia and the NHMRC.

  10.  After every appointment all surfaces are thoroughly disinfected and equipment is sterilised to legislated standards.  These are standard operating procedures for us and have been for a very long time..

  11. Contactless payments are preferred. Our payments area, HICAPS terminals and shared spaces are wiped over between every patient throughout the day by administrative staff using medical grade cleaning products and wipes.

  12. We support vaccination as a scientifically valid method to protect our community.

For updated information please follow the link to the Department of Health updates:

Tasmanian Covid Alerts  or call the Corona Hotline 1800 671738.

For changes to appointments our practice policy is that you please provide us with a minimum of 24 hours’ notice to avoid a broken appointment fee.  Please be mindful that this is a very difficult and challenging time for everybody including small businesses.  Giving us plenty of notice will assist us in managing our resources and staffing to minimise the financial impact on our business and staff.

We look forward to continuing to provide Quality and Caring Dentistry for you, your family and friends.  As a small business we truly appreciate all your support in keeping Kingston Beach Dental a safe and positive environment.
